C&V Engineering's general manager, Mario Pizzolato, has designed and
developed the Peno Guard™ - designed to prevent falls on building sites where penetrations and
excavations are prevalent.
This easy-to-install safety feature is made of extremely strong wire mesh
allowing workers to clearly see through the Peno Guard™ and visually confirm the danger beneath.
Pizzolato believes that this is a safer method of preventing falls than the more commonly used
technique, where workers simply place a piece of plywood over the hole, often not bothering to
hammer down the corners.
As you can appreciate the old method of using plywood and NOT hammering down the
corners can pose a significant risk to the safety of your fellow workers.
